Khaja Bandanawaz Institute of Medical Sciences (KBNIMS) Gulbarga,Karnataka
is a Minority institution which was started in 2000 after obtaining
permission from the Govt. of India. The college is now recognized by the
Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India and approved by
Medical Council of India. The College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi
University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. Every year 100 scholars who
enrol into this institution transform themselves into qualified medical
professionals.
KBNIMS has most modern laboratories which are equipped with all the necessary medical tools and equipments for a better learning experience. The institution has provision for separate Hostels for Boys and Girls. Similarly, recreational facilities and activities are provided independently.
Khaja Bandanawaz Teaching & General Hospital
A multi-speciality 500 bed hospital situated in the heart of the City with all the mordern amenities and emergency services including free treatment for poor. Regularly free checkup camps are arranged for the poor and needy people which come from distant places including neighbouring states.The Hospital also provides free inpatient treatment including free medicine for the patients.
Initially a 60 Bed Khaja Bandanawaz General Hospital was established in 1988 with the specific purpose of serving as a Teaching Hospital for Khaja Bandanawaz Institute of Medical Sciences and for the noble aim of providing medical and para-medical facilities to the unprivileged classes of Gulbarga and environs. Today, it also serves as the base for training of nurses of Khaja Bandanawaz School of General Nursing.
Over a period of time, it has developed into a totally integrated 500 bed hospital with state-of-the-art medical departments, Paediatrics, TB & Chest, Skin & STD, Psychiatry, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Opthalmology, ENT, Gynaecology, Dentistry and Radiology on the clinical side and Anatomy, Physiology, Bio-chemistry, Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Pathology, Pharmacology & Microbiology on non & para-clinical side.
The Hospital provides all the medical amenities with most-modern equipments such as MRI, CT-Scan, X-ray machine, Ultrasound, Color Doppler, Endoscopy and operating Microscopes etc. It has equipped ICC, ICCU, NICU, MICU, SICU, PICU units among the others, with 10 (ten) Operation Theatres.

Mbbs Admission Procedure:-
Admissions process for 2013-14 will be started in the month of May
2012. The candidate has to appear All India Entrance Test (KRLM UG ET
2012-13) conducted by the Karnataka Religious Linguistic Professional
Colleges Association Bangalore. The admissions will be made on Merit on
the performance in the KRLM UG ET, KEA-CET 2012 & Management /Nri
Quota.
