Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College & Research Centre has been established to impart quality medical education and produce competent healthcare providers (Doctors) to serve the Society with approval of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare for an admission intake of 100 MBBS students per session since 2008. The college got recognition status in the year 2013. From session 2014-15, College has applied for enhancement to 150 MBBS seats.
The Medical College and Research Center conducts Post Graduate degree (MD) in Pre and Para Clinical subjects of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Sciences since 2012-13 and Community Medicine and Pharmacology since 2013-14 approved by the Medical Council of India. From academic year 2014-15, the Medical Council of India has approved MD/MS in Medicine, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Surgery, Radiology, Anesthesiology, Pediatrics, ENT and Ophthalmology and in Orthopaedics, OBG and TB & Chest from the academic session 2015-16.
The college has started three year post graduate program in M.Sc. Medical (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Microbiology) to augment the availability of qualified teachers in Pre & Para Clinical subjects. Five batches of M.Sc. students have already been admitted. Ph.D. programme in these 5 subjects have commenced from 2013-14.
The hospital facilities of the institution provides modern health care including critical care and emergency services to the population at large. During a short span of time, the hospital has developed into 800 bed tertiary care hospital with life saving facilities. A casualty section with 27 beds and intensive care unit having 57 beds for for various sub-specialties like ICCU, ICU, RICU, NICU, PICU, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Burn treatment unit has been added. Department of General Surgery provides facilities for Endoscopic Studies & Surgeries. Department of Medicine facilitates Echocardiography, TMT and Cath lab.
Department of Radiology provides Fluoroscopy and facilities for Ultrasound & Color Doppler Studies, Digital X-Rays with image intensifier, CT Scene, MRI and Mammography. The hospital has 12 well equipped modern operation theatres for General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT and Obstetrics & Gynecology besides one for emergency services in the Casualty Section. Central Laboratory caters for Pathological, Clinical Biochemistry & Microbiology investigations. The lecture theatres and demonstration rooms are well equipped with audio visual aids. In addition to these, computerized animal experimental exercises are used in pharmacology so as to save animal life. Workshops and conference are organized on important and current issues from time to time.

Growing spectrum of disease and increasing demand has seen expansion of various clinical departments with provision of super specialty care in Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College Hospital .The Hospital is the apex health institution and provides tertiary care to the entire population of Moradabad and adjoining districts, besides imparting clinical training to the students.
The Medical college Hospital has bed strength of 800 beds. It houses the various clinical and para-clinical departments like Medicine, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Pulmonary Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, Eye, ENT, Orthopedics, Gynae & Obs, Radiology, Anesthesia, Blood Bank, and central lab (Pathology, Microbiology, Bio- Chemistry). The diagnostic facilities like MRI, Spiral CT and Cardiac Cath Lab, have recently been introduced in the Hospital.
Over the period, Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical college Hospital has established a coronary care unit with Echocardiography, Holter, TMT, Image Intensifier, and facilities for regular implantation of temporary and permanent pacemakers. . In addition, following facilities are available.

A Central Collection Lab has been established to provide facilities for collection of various samples at a single point in the hospital. The samples are then sent to respective labs for testing and the reports are also issued from the report-issuing window of the central collection lab. The quality control of the various laboratory tests is also ensured and various automation and semi-automation analysers are used in the various laboratories.
Emergency Services
The emergency wing is well equipped with modern facilities to provide the emergency and trauma care services round the clock on all days. There are 5 beds in Triage area and 22 beds in emergency ward. One emergency OT and one minor OT is located in emergency wing. The services include accident, trauma, medical and surgical emergencies, pediatrics and Gynae emergencies.

Intensive Care Unit
Intensive Care unit is having 57 beds for ICCU, ICU, RICU, NICU, PICU, Obs & Gynae ICU, and burn treatment unit. All resuscitation and maintenance equipment like- monitors, ventilators, defibrillators and oxygen/ suction supply are available.
Operation Theaters
The hospital has 12 well-equipped modular operation theaters for General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Obs, and Gynae and for Superspecialties like-Plastic Surgery, Neuro Surgery, and Paediatric surgery besides one for emergency services in the casualty section. Beside there are three minor OTs.
Blood Bank
There is one licensed Blood Bank in Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College Hospital. The Blood Bank is well equipped and has facility to prepare the blood components. It is catering to the need of all the medical and surgical specialties and superspecialties of medical college Hospital.
Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre (ICTC)
Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre (ICTC) for HIV positive or negative clients who or whose health care provider think they can be HIV positive. They are counseled and tested here regarding their HIV positive or negative status. The service of one male and one female qualified counselor for counselling and information on AIDS in addition to laboratory back up for HIV testing is also available. Centre opens on working days only. The centre is situated on first floor adjacent to the OPD of pulmonary medicine.

The duty roster for the faculty members & resident doctors is displayed on the notice board of all the department. Inquiry & reception counter function round the clock in the emergency of hospital. The staff members from Medical Record Department provide patient related information and also prepare the medical record (OPD cards/ Admission case sheet).
Administrative Block
The administrative block of hospital is located on the 5th floor and houses the office of Medical Superintendent, D.H.A./Jt-D.H.A Dy. Medical Superintendent, Nursing Superintendent, and other staff members.
Indoor Treatment
★ All patients admitted in general wards of the hospital are treated free of cost.
★ Two attendant passes are given to every admitted patient.
★ Visitors are allowed only during notified visiting hours with visitors pass.
★ The diagnostic facilities like MRI,Sprial CT and Cardic Cath Lab. Echo,TMT etc. are charged 50% of existing OPD charges.
★ For poor patient, these charges can be waived on the recommendation of the treating doctors by the Medical Superintendent/Dy. Medical Superintendent.
★ Staff nurse are on duty round the clock in wards.
★ Two attendant passes are given to every admitted patient.
★ Visitors are allowed only during notified visiting hours with visitors pass.

A Candidate seeking admissioni in any of the academic programs of the University is required to fill-up the application form given in the Admission Brochure. The Admission Brochure alongwith the application form is available on all days of the week (Monday to Sunday) from 09:00 A.M. to 06:00 PM and can be obtained through:
(i) Cash Payment: The Admission Brochure consisting of an application form can be obtained from the Admission Cell of the University on payment of Rs. 600/- in cash.
(ii) Speed Post/Courier: The Admission Brochure alongwith the application form can also be obtained through Speed Post/courier. A request in this regard should be sent to the Director-Admissions & Finance, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, N.H.-24, Delhi Road, Moradabad (U.P.)-244001alongwith a demand draft/pay order of Rs. 600/- (Rupees Six hundred only) drawn in favour of the‘Teerthanker Mahaveer University’, payable at Moradabad. The name, address and phone number of the applicant should be clearly mentioned on the back-side of the demand draft/pay order.
(iii) Downloading from University Website: The application form can also be downloaded from the University Website (www.tmu.ac.in) and duly filled-up form can be forwarded to the Director-Admission & Finance, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, N.H.-24, Delhi Road, Moradabad (U.P.)-244001alongwith a demand draft of Rs. 600/- favouring ‘Teerthanker Mahaveer University’, payable at Moradabad.

Admission Rules & Regulations
- Go through all the instructions given in the admission brochure carefully
- If you have appeared in a qualifying examination and the result, thereof, is awaited, you can take provisional admission.
- Attach certified copies of your mark sheets/testimonials with the application form. At this stage, do not send any original copies of mark sheets/testimonials.
- Paste your latest photograph in the space provided for in the application form.
- Before submitting/mailing the duly filled-up application form, go through all the points contained in the form.
- The merit list declared by the University shall be final and binding.
- If any document/declaration submitted by the candidate is found to be false/forged at any stage, his or her admission shall be cancelled and he/she may be liable for prosecution under law.
- The selection to the program will be provisional until the candidate furnishes all the required documents and testimonials, including the final results of the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
- Involvement of any candidate in any form of criminal activities debars the candidate from seeking admission in any program of the university. Concealment of information on this account will tantamount to cancellation of admission if detected subsequently.
- If the University is not satisfied with the character, past behaviour or antecedents of a candidate, it can refuse to admit him/her to any course of study in the University.
- It is advisable that students seeking admission in the University should visit it along with their parents/guardians to see the infrastructural facilities such as classrooms, laboratories, library, hostel, transportation, etc. This may facilitate their decision at the time of counseling/admission.
- At the time of admission, the students are required to submit the Non-Judicial affidavit being signed by him/her along with their parents/guardians with regard to disciplinary behaviour during the entire period of the program. If any deviation is found, he/she is to be subjected to the punishment/ suspension/rustication as per the University rules and regulations.
- In case of any legal dispute, the jurisdiction will be limited to Moradabad courts only.
