NITTE University Undergraduate Entrance Exam
NU UGET 2015 The NITTE University conducts an All India Common Entrance Test (NUUGET 2015) for Under Graduate admission in Medical (MBBS) And Dental (BDS) Courses in constituent colleges namely K.S. Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA), Mangalore (Mangaluru) Karnatakaand and A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Science Mangaluru, Karnataka respectively.NUUGET 2015 Entrance Exam Date
Eligibility criteria for MBBS courseA pass in 12th standard or equivalent examination approved by the Nitte University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study, with atleast 50% marks in aggregate of optional subjects.
The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission.
Admission under NRI quota
The admission under the NRI category is based on merit in the qualifying examination taking into consideration, marks secured in the core subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Foreign nationals are also considered for admission under this quota.
Students seeking admission under the NRI category should submit a separate application to the college in the prescribed format, available at the University office, Mangalore or from the website http://www.nitte.edu.in along with the attested photocopies of the following documents:
- 10th Std. marks card/pass certificate (for proof of date of birth)
- 10+2 marks card
- Transfer certificate from the institution last attended
- Passport and student visa
- Passport and Employer”s certificate as proof of NRI status (if the candidate has studied in India)
- A demand draft for Rs.1000/- towards registration fee favoring Nitte University, payable at Mangalore.
Admission under General Merit category
The admission under the General merit category will be through the process of centralised single window counselling on the basis of merit(rank) obtained in the All India Entrance Test, NU UGET conducted by Nitte University.
As per the regulations of the statutory bodies, the minimum percentage of marks in the Entrance Test to be eligible for admission to the MBBS course shall be 50% for General Category candidates.
Intake and Duration
Intake:150
Duration: 5 ½ yrs (including one year of compulsory rotatory internship)
The course commences as per the date prescribed by the University, most likely during the first week of August. The exact date will be communicated by the Institution.
List of documents to be produced at the time of admission
- 10th Std. pass certificate for proof of date of birth – Original + 3 attested copies
- 12th Std. equivalent marks card/pass certificate – Original + 3 attested copies
- Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended – Original + 3 attested copies
- Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended – Original only
- Eligibility Certificate (Application form can be obtained from the University office)
- Migration Certificate from the Board of the institution last attended
- Physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner
- Blood group certificate
- Photographs: Passport size 05, Stamp size 05
