Graduate medical curriculum is oriented towards training students to
undertake the responsibilities of a physician of first contact who is
capable of looking after the preventive, primitive, curative and
rehabilitative aspects of medical care.The broad based training aims to provide an educational experience with all the essentials required for health care in our country. Moreover, a wide range of career opportunities await students.
Objective:
At the end of under graduate program, the medical student shall endeavour to be able to:- Recognize ‘Health for All’ as a national goal of all citizens. Fulfil his/her social obligations towards realization of this goal;
- Learn every aspect of National Policies on health and its practical implementation;
- Achieve competence in practice of holistic medicine, encompassing primitive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of common diseases;
- Develop scientific temper and acquire experience for proficiency and promote healthy living;

Eligibility
Age
- Minimum age – 17 years on or before 31st December of the respective year
Qualification
- For admission to M.B.B.S., B.D.S. – Pass in PCB and English at 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate taken together from recognized Board (40% marks for reserved category SC/ST/OBC)
Non Eligibility
- Candidates who do not possess the above qualification at +2 or any other equivalent examination
- Candidates who are presently undergoing any of the professional courses
- Candidates who have already joined in any of the professional colleges
Reservations

Importants notes for the Ph.D. :
Fellowships / Grant / Funding:- Admission to Ph. D course will be subject to the availability of research funds/fellowship/grants from recognized funding agencies i.e. Pool Officer from CSIR, ICMR, DST, INSA etc. The admission will be finalized and offer sent to the candidate only when evidence of the availability of research funds/grant/fellowship for the project is submitted by the selected candidate through the concerned Head of the Department.
- No fellowships / Grant will be provided by the college during the Ph.D. programme.
- The expenses if any, towards consumable items, shall be borne by the Ph. D student.
- In case the student is selected for Ph.D. programme and no Fellowship / Grant from a recognized institution / college is available with him/her in that case the student is required to bear all expenses for the same.

Combined Medical Entrance Test
Santosh University is the only authoring body conducting Combined Medical Entrance Test for its medical and dental colleges.
Admission to member institutions will be made purely on merit on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the prescribed / science subjects in the entrance test.
